The Iowa coaching staff told in-state prospect Wes Burnside to stop by practice any time he wants this spring, so the running back has been a frequent visitor to Iowa City recently. In fact, the 5-foot-9, 190-pound Burnside, who attends Union High School in La Porte City, watched the Hawkeyes put in work twice this past week.

As a junior, Burnside rushed 2,336 yards and 30 touchdowns in 10 games, earning first team all-state honors in Class 3A.
