4-star WR looking for Oregon offer
One of the key elements needed for a top wide receiver is speed. Phoenix (Ariz.) Brophy Prep standout Devon Allen has plenty of it. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound athlete excels on the track as well as the football field, fueling his recruitment and leading to over a dozen BCS-level offers.
Duck Sports Authority spoke with the nation's No. 110 ranked recruit to find out how the recruiting process was going for him. Beginning in February, after letter of intent day for the Class of 2012, the offers started pouring in.
"Early on it was Stanford, Washington, Arkansas, Nebraska, UCLA, Notre Dame and Michigan that stood out because they are really big names and really good schools," began Allen. "ASU and Arizona stand out because they have had good football programs and are close to home."
As fits their recent pattern, the Oregon Ducks are recruiting Allen at a methodical pace.
