Montelus adds Orange offer

John Montelus of Everett, Mass. is an offensive tackle in the class of 2013 and he already is on his way to receiving double digit scholarship offers. One of those offers he has received came from Syracuse.

"Syracuse offered me a week after I went to their camp, I was really surprised that my coach said they offered me and it was a really big step for me."

While on campus what did the 6-foot-5, 295 pounds prospect think of his visit to Syracuse?

"The visit wasn't bad I really liked the coaches and loved the weight room they have, it's just a really good school to go academically and for sports."

While on that visit he met his Orange position coach and he was very impressed.

"Greg Adkins he is a really good coach," Montelus said. "He is really patient and knows what he's doing, my relationship with him is not that close because I am really focused on my junior season, after the season ends I will be talking to him."

A return visit to Syracuse may be in the cards, but the prospect knows he will have a lot of schools to look at.

"I will probably make another visit to Syracuse. I have many schools to visit after the season."

Right now Montelus holds offers from Syracuse, Connecticut, North Carolina State, and Virginia. He is getting a lot of interest from Boston College, Penn State, UCLA, and Stanford.
