Big-time line target hopes to visit
Mike McGlinchey is one of Boston College's top offensive line targets in the junior class and the Eagles are hoping he's able to attend the junior day at the school later this month.
The Philadelphia (Pa.) William Penn Charter lineman has received early offers from BC, Duke, Virginia and Rutgers.
His schedule for the next few weeks is starting to fill up but some questions still remain.
"I think I'm going to go out to Boston College, Maryland and possibly Virginia in the near future," McGlinchey said.
"I'm not positive about the BC trip yet. I've spoken to them about taking the trip but I have a basketball game that day so I'm not sure. I think I should be able to if I can pull some strings with my coach because I'd really love to go."
Just a couple of weeks ago McGlinchey made a trip to Rutgers to check out the Big East school.
"That went well," he recalled. "It was my first time meeting all the coaches and I really liked it. It's a very nice facility, obviously. The coaching staff is great and they preach a lot of good things like togetherness and family and I did take to that."
As for the summer, McGlinchey hasn't looked that far ahead. In fact, he's hoping to have a decision made before then.
"I'll probably take a few visits in the summer if I'm not committed somewhere by then. I really hope to be committed before the summer," he said.
McGlinchey reiterated that he doesn't have any favorites at this point.
