2012-2013 Hawkeye Ten Conference Preview

Atlantic
Not only is Atlantic expected to be one of the top teams
in this conference, they are also expected to be in the chase for the Class 3A
State title. The youth movement that they have been going through paid off
with 19-victories a year ago. Four of their top five scorers are around
for the winter and that includes an All Stater in Dalton Franken. This
senior is a dominant athlete and brings back an 18-point per game average.
Throw in Sam Markham, Harrison Hoegh, and Chad Christiansen and few can match
their top four. Adding depth and scoring off of the bench are areas that
could end up helping them in the long run but having Franken and a host of
classmates ready to dominate will get this club over the 20-win mark this year.
