Losing a talented scorer like Sam Lipps certainly will be
tough to replace but Algona is hopeful that returning starters Sawyer Frideres
and Cole Nielsen can step up and be even more productive during their senior
years. This duo, along with Justin Raymond and Luke Arrowood, bring back
the most experience for this club heading into the winter months. That
core group will be asked to carry the rest of their teammates are they adjust to
playing under the big lights of varsity basketball. Size and rebounding
are two areas that Algona hopes to capitalize on early and often.
Experience is a concern but something that will improve as a whole over the
course of the winter.
