Overview
Considering the sheer amount of talent that Davenport West lost due to
transfers, the fact that this club stayed focused and got better as the year
wore on says a lot about their players. The Falcons won three of their
last four games and really peaked at the end of the winter once their athletes
got comfortable within new roles. The duo of Nasir Shabazz and Isaiah Ross
combined to pour in over 25 points a game and will be two of the most dynamic
athletes returning in the MAC. The team will be asking others to step up
as bigger scoring threats but they do have the luxury of bringing back athletes
who know what it takes to compete at the varsity level. Last winter was a
building year but the returning playmakers that they have could make them a
tough out in 2015.
