Overview
Despite many of their top players graduating and going through a coaching
change before last winter, Cedar Rapids Kennedy rallied together as a team on
their way to a 18-6 run that included a berth at the State tournament.
Anthony Carter and a talented crop of seniors have moved on but the Cougars have
the luxury of bringing back a strong core of players. Zach Daniels, Cole
Murdock, and Bryton Heisler will be asked do more as players and this trio
has the skills needed to get the job done. Murdock was second on the club
in scoring and could be an all state player if he is ready to take over the
scoring load for this group. A lot of playing time will be available to
their younger athletes so the sooner they step up, the easier it will be for
this program to once again compete with the best in Class 4A.
