Central Decatur
Central Decatur did a lot of good things
throughout the 2013 football season but fell short of their goal to get to the
postseason. Those struggles against the best teams in their district has
them more motivated than ever to get the job done and punch their ticket to the
playoff this fall. The offense will benefit from the overall athleticism
of Trenton Wells. He is extremely versatile and showed it while leading
the team in rushing and receiving. Expects Wells to get the ball in his
hands early in games and is one of six starters back on this side of the ball.
Filling spots in the trenches to block is a must as the year wears on.
The defense brings back their top tackler in Peyton Gilbert along with Wells
and Kyle Palmer. This trio will be working hard to assist their younger
teammates in the transition to varsity football. Experience, speed, and
playmakers will be on their side all year long.
