Reloading was the focus for Mediapolis in 2013 as they won their first eleven
games before calling in the playoffs to Albia. It was another strong
season that their returners are working hard to improve on. Seventeen
athletes who spent time in the starting lineup are back for another go around
and that bodes well for their chances heading into the fall. A few key
positions need to be filled offensively but having four linemen along with
Kelton Gourley, Drew Massner, Steven Holloway, and Cole Erickson all have
extensive experience will keep them putting up big numbers on the scoreboard.
Five of their top six tacklers return defensively led by Erickson and his
fourteen tackles for loss. This unit gave up just twelve points a night
and will be improved with an off-season of training. The Bulldogs
are looking for a kicker but the overall talent that they have will keep them
within the discussion for a Class 2A title this year.

Team Strengths
We return a lot of experience on both sides of the ball. Offensively we return a
solid group of lineman and running backs to build around. We will have some new
guys throwing and catching the ball, so that will be exciting.
Defensively we have a lot of our front 8 back, which should give us some
experience to build around.
