It was a tale of two different seasons for Montezuma as they dominated their way
to a 6-0 start but lost momentum with four straight losses to end the 2013
season. Recapturing the early season magic is the focus for this team
heading into the fall and each of their eight starters returning will be
striving for more. A few seniors that have moved on will be tough to
replace but Mitch Stevens, Jake Hasley, and a host of others are excelling in
the off-season and it will show throughout the fall. The Braves will be a
younger group overall but their athleticism will keep them competitive from day
one. As their younger playmakers get comfortable under the bright lights
on Friday night, this club has the potential to make a deep playoff run.

Team Strengths
Athleticism. We will have a good group of skill position players. We return 3-4
kids that played quality minutes as receivers, running backs, and tight ends. We
will also add a solid group of sophomore skills players to the mix which should
solidify those positions.
Questions Marks
We will be very young and inexperienced. We will definitely go through some
growing pains throughout the year. We will need to replace 3 offensive lineman
and all 4 defensive line starters so there will be some questions marks up front
for us.
