After starting the season at 3-2, struggles down the stretch with four straight
left Ottumwa outside of the playoff picture. The Bulldogs may not have been
satisfied with the outcome a strong nucleus of returning athletes will be back
and are hungry to prove what they can do in 2014 on a more consistent basis.
Offensively, Isaiah Cox showed some excellence as a sophomore and has a bright
future ahead of him. His 1,200 yards rushing proved he was one of the most
athletes in the Class of 2016. If the line continues to have success in the
trenches, he could easily go over the 1,500 yard mark this fall. Quarterback
Shane Frazier and Greg Howard must be more efficient when throwing the football
but each brings back varsity experience. Matthew Moreland and Sam Kramer will be
counted on to lead the way defensively. After giving up just 21 points a night
last year, this duo will be dangerous if they can continue to find other capable
teammates ready to give it all for their team.
