Division I schools step up with offers that give him a wide range of solid
options.
"I have UNI, North Dakota State, Wyoming, South Dakota State, and Illinois
State."
Allen mentioned a trio of schools that have been recruiting him the most.
"I'd say the most interested would be UNI, Wyoming, and North Dakota State."
Two others have also been keeping an eye on him as well.
"Iowa State is the biggest one. Iowa has been a little bit. Those are the
only two really."
Allen had a chance to showcase his skills at a few camps this summer.
"I went to UNI, Iowa State, Kansas State for a 7-on-7 camp, the Nike camp,
and a camp in Chicago. I think they all went pretty well. I'm not a very
good tester but other than that it was pretty good."
Making a final decision is something that Allen could do tomorrow or in six
months.
"I'm undecided on that currently. I'm just trying to keep my options open and
see what places I can get and where I'd like to go."
Allen is excited for his senior year to begin as they battle their rivals
from West Des Moines Valley.
"We have them coming into our place. We have to handle our business and have
a good game. We haven't beaten them in a while but I feel it is our season.
We'll give them a good fight and it'll be a good game."
The Tigers are a program that Allen has respect for.
"I know that every year they have a good squad. It will be fun playing and I
hope for the best."
