Johnston forward Dawson Jones has seen his hard work on the basketball court pay off with news of his first Division I scholarship, as he tweeted out earlier today.

His strong showing this off-season will propel him from his current top 40 rank in the Class of 2017 (see the full ranking here).

As a junior, Jones averaged 10.1 points per game on 49% shooting from the floor, 40% from behind the three point line, and 70% shooting from free throws. He led the Dragons with seven rebounds a game and was tops in blocks as well.
