FREE: Imming switching focus over to football

Sioux City East quarterback Alex Imming showed some impressive
skills this past winter on the basketball court.  But with the season now

behind him, the focus has switched back over to the gridiron.
"It is all pretty much football. I'll start throwing in the mornings three
days a week next week and I have a combine in April."
Imming certainly did enough with his dual threat abilities to impress college
coaches.
"It has been Iowa, Iowa State, Drake, South Dakota, Air Force, and Illinois
State."
One of those programs even had Imming on campus for a recent trip.
"I went Iowa State's Junior Day. It was a really nice program. They had
really nice facilities and I was really impressed."
Imming will continue with that focus in the coming months.
"It is just football and I'm in track. I'll be doing that too."
On the hardwood, Imming helped the Black Raiders to yet another run to the
State tournament.
"I thought at State it was a little disappointing to go out in the first
round like that. I thought we had a really good team. We'll just see what
happens next year."
Imming had a lot of fun stepping into a much bigger role offensively at the
varsity level.
"It felt good. Me and (Adam Woodbury) Woody were the leading scorers. It felt
good to just be a bigger part of the team and have a bigger role."
