Over the past two years, Gladbrook-Reinbeck running back Nick Peterson
has had two very different seasons. During his sophomore year, he helped
his team the State title game but then spent most of his junior year slowed down
this an injury. Now that his senior season is here, Peterson is
ready to get things underway.
"I think that we have worked a lot harder than it seems like we have in the
past so I think we will all be in better shape. We will be good this year
I think."
What makes their road even tough is playing in a district loaded with
talented teams.
"We have four teams that made the playoffs with AP, Dike, Starmont, and
everyone is talking about Denver being a sleeper. Grundy Center is always
a rival."
Peterson has been still receiving college interest.
"It has been Iowa, Iowa State, St. Cloud State, and Division III schools."
Depending on what he is looking for will eventually help Peterson pick a
favorite.
"I guess it will depend on what level I want and if I want to play right away
or not."
