Rasmussen ready for SE Polk battle

FREE!  Johnston linebacker Karl Rasmussen had a chance
to earn a great deal of varsity playing last fall as a sophomore.  That

experience is something that this junior knows will be crucial to him as a
player going forward in a few different ways.
"I think it is going to help me as I won't have nerves and can play more
confident. It will also help me as a leader helping the younger kids and getting
the team chemistry going."
Rasmussen knows what he has been able to improve on overall as an athlete.
"There has been a lot of situational work. I've been working with formation
adjustments and being able to make the right play for the upcoming season."
The season opens for Rasmussen and company against Southeast Polk.
"I know that Southeast Polk is always a powerhouse. It'll definitely be a
tough first game. It'll be good to work on a few areas against a good school
like that."
Rasmussen talked about the keys that could help the Dragons overall.
"I think the biggest key is being in the right position to make plays. We
also have to execute not just during the first half but also during the second
half. We have to execute and finish."
Recruiting interest for Rasmussen has not come in at this point.
"No, not as of now."
