to him this summer as he challenged himself against some elite competition
across the Midwest.
"I went to five camps this summer at Iowa Western, Iowa, Iowa State,
Northwest Missouri State, and Central College."
Ricker came away pleased with what he was able to do in the trenches.
"It is fun going to a lot of camps. Northwest Missouri State was a good all
day camp. That went really well and I felt I held my own there."
Two of the coaches let Ricker know what he accomplished.
"It is definitely the Central coaches over in Pella. It was them and the Iowa
Western coaches."
Ricker has interest from a few different other programs as well.
"It has been schools like Central. I have gotten questionnaires and emails
from Illinois State, Winona State, Upper Iowa, and schools like that."
One program was considered as a favorite according to Ricker.
"I'd say Northwest Missouri State. I really like that school and they have a
really successful program there. I would love to go there if I could. They seem
like a really nice program."
Ricker is counting down the days for a tough battle in the football season
opener against Albia.
"It is going to be one of our toughest games. It'll show how prepared we are
for the season."
